Ventilation system

Sl384459

This is a ventilation system that harvests the air from the top of a very windy hill, sends the air through a tunnel where it is filtered and used to ventilate the visitor centre at Dunstable Downs.

Soulmates - Michael Perryment

Michael Perryment
Soulmates
He set up his easel, people gathered,
watched as he pinned paper to wood,
placed pencils and pens in the rack,
set up his portable chair and surveyed
the scene ahead...
A church on the corner, flint knapped and capped,
square towered.

The people searched for his brushes,
there were none.
Anticipation as he held nib to paper;
dipped and dripping, he began.
Letters flowed across the page, a poem
of stone and wood, of spire and slate,
leaf and tree. ‘I paint in words’ he said,
as the crowd drifted away...

One remained at his side. She smiled,
produced a small note book, pocket size,
palm of hand size. A tiny palette of paints,
watercolour blocks, minute. A slender brush
touched water. She began.

A page the size of a postcard she used
to capture the church, the stone,
the slate and the steeple, the leaves and trees,
the wood and flint. 'I write in pictures' she said.
as the clouds drifted away.

She painted a bright yellow sun
with a smile that mirrored his own...

He wrote of the gold and the fires
that danced and sparked in her eyes...

Pumpkin Patch!

Sl384329

Pumpkins always look as though they've been just put in place... the colours in the garden were still really vibrant.
